Craft Tasters

These workshops are all about trying out different crafts with the help of experienced staff and teachers. Our Art Workshops are dedicated to painting, drawing and creating images.

All places must be pre-booked.

All classes are suitable for beginners. Each class costs £10.00 and is payable in full at time of booking

Bookings can be taken over the phone, by email or in person at Francis Iles Art and Craft Works, where a member of our staff will be pleased to help you.

Each session takes a maximum of 6 people.

Payment is non-refundable. In the event of a class being under subscribed it may be cancelled and you will be offered a refund.

For those of you that can’t make our Friday Sessions, we are now running Craft workshops on Saturdays. These workshops take place at the Vines Hall, Rochester

and run from 10am to 2pm. The cost is £30

 12th May 2012   Special Occasion Stationary - Daphne Ramsey £30 10am - 2pm

Using Die-cutting & stamping, produce a set of stationery for that special occasion.

 19th May 2012   Felting - Naomi Hatcher £30 10am - 2pm

Try your hand at wet and needle felting in this popular and simple craft.

All our Craft Tasters run on a Friday at Francis Iles Art & Craft Works for two hours from

10am to 2pm.

18th MAY 2012 SHRINK PLASTIC

If you've never tried this medium-now's your chance. Shrink Plastic is fascinating, just when you think its

all gone wrong, it rights itself, and the finished pieces can be used for lots of projects. In this class you

will be making three different cards with your finished pieces of plastic. You're sure to enjoy this - its

great fun.

15th JUNE 2012 PAPER BARGELLO

This is a very easy technique using different coloured papers to achieve a bargello (also known as

Florentine) effect. this is usually a form of tapestry but there will be no stitching in this class!

29th JUNE 2012 CUPCAKE CARDS

Cupcakes have been very popular for quite a while now and in this class you will be making two cards

using cupcake frills which are usually used for putting round your cakes. these are quite different cards

which can be used for a lot of different occasions

13th JULY 2012 BRIDGING THE GAP

These cards are something a little bit different. the card is cut then you "bridge The Gap" using different

die-cuts. these cards can be used for many different occasions
